Looks pretty solid but is it a $4795 wagon?

    Ask Brandon(vetteman61) that question?

This one does look nice in white. I don't see any rust?

Don't speak too soon. Look at the separate gallery pics.

I really love this one, and yes, I do think it is a $5,000 wagon.

    Looked at his gallery pics.
It's got some issues underneath. I'd pass on it.

    I agree with KK.
There's a lot of rust under those nice rocker moldings...

But I don't think it is beyond saving.

Well, I tell you what. I'd rather buy one in this condition and drive it and have fun than to redo one. It's really impossible to say without seeing it in person because with this color in particular it could be pretty solid or it could be hiding a whole lot under some of that paint. I guess it also depends on the options.

I may be biased here, but it seems the '71s tend to hold their value a bit better, but I don't have any hard evidence to back that up, it's just what I've noticed over the last few months while I've looked. What strikes me is the fact that I see some of these cars going for cheap money and some going for super high money. I guess you just have to find a person that really wants one.

Yeah, I agree, getting one that is not in need of a ton of work would be high on my priority list nowadays. In the past I always looked for those vehicles I could build to my own preferences but now I see one like this and I think getting behind the wheel and just driving, and doing the relatively small stuff that comes up.

Again, I may be a bit biased as the '71 I bought has turned into a monstrous project when it was supposed to be about a 1 month project.

Im a mopar guy but always had a soft spot for a Pontiac.this is a beautiful car; love the grill and actually the whole front end. my friend had a 72 pontiac wagon but it was rust city. he had an issue with the clam shell door system. he ended up scrapping it years ago when wagons were on every corner. it is problably high option with the leather. love it

Almost all of my "one month" projects turned out to be monstrous projects it would seem, looking back at them :slap:

Oh sure, in the end I got exactly what I wanted, but the getting there was often a very frustrating, more expensive and physically exhausting experience. Not that I ever learned, and I've still got enough life left to get myself in to trouble more than a few times = particularly with REV living so close and setting such bad examples.
