I had one of these back in the day. If I remember correctly, you couldn't get the rear tires to spin even on ice, I figured it was a form of "traction control" for the wife.

Depends on if it had an Iron Duke, or a Buick V-6. Auto or Manual trans. I agree that a Iron Duke powered Car with Auto and a 2.56 rear gear would be a Slug, a 231 V-6 with a 4 or 5 speed, and a 3.08 gear will definatl get out of its own way.

And I agree that they are asking about twice what the top end is on those cars, But the fact that they are asking more than what it sold for new doesn't really apply to Classic's. What did a 57 Nomad sell for new? And Now in silalure condition?

I optioned out a 1975 Astre SJ wagon with AC, auto, ps/pb, roof rack, defogger, trim rings, console, radio, and everything I saw in the pictures. The sticker price would have been $5398, about the same as my Gran Torino. I'm sure the price was higher by 1978 but it wouldn't have been $8K.

For $8K I'd rather have two or three NICE 80s B-bodies.
