Very nice wagon but a tad bit out of my price range!

My guess is this one will sell in the $12,000 range. Not often you come across one with that kind of mileage, in that kind of shape, here in the rust belt. Rarity does carry a value of its own.

I wish him luck. It's a very nice car, but whether or not it will command the kind of money he's asking is a separate story.

Three things determine a car's value: rarity, desirability, and condition. This one may have the first and third nailed, but station wagons are never very high up on the desirability list, at least by the general, old car-collecting public.

But as the owner of a '73 clamshell myself, I'd love to see it go for what he's asking.

I agree a bit pricy, but what else can you buy for $15,050.00 that will haul 6 adults, luggage, and tow 5000lbs in that kinda shape?

As for no A/C, it was very common for Canadian cars to not have it, most people thought why spend $700 for something I only need for 2 months a year!!!!!

My fellow Ontarians may notice that this car still has the original 1973 plates on it.

I can't quite make out if the rear plate has a renewal sticker on it - does that look like a 2014 sticker on the rear plate, lower right? Are the 2014 stickers green lettering on a white background? Sort of looks like a sticker there.

If it's been continuously licensed since '73, that would be impressive. Possibly someone's summer car at their vacation home?

Since it does have the original 73 plates on it you KNOW that it is owned by the original owner, too, since the plate stays with the owner, not the car.
