Wow!!! That has character! :thumbs2: Car design was once a pure art form. Sculpture in motion.

    Beautiful wagon!

Our family never owned any, but I remember as a kid riding around in a few Chrysler products (aunts '58 Belvedere, friends '60 Valiant, other friends '62 Fury wagon). They always gave me the feeling of being in a more modern car, like we were in a spaceship with wheels.........

i found it odd when I finally bought my own '65 Dodge Dart to find that feeling completely gone.......

I still get that feeling, the smell of vinyl, the skinny steering wheel, the gun sight down the center of the hood,I can close my eyes and go way back in time every time I jump in my 66 monaco wagon.I remember riding in the back seat of my dads 61 galaxy 500 and looking over the huge hood it totally amazed me.there was no seat belts so I was never allowed to sit in the front seat. but that dodge and I am totally mopar is a piece of history I never heard of a dodge matador, very nice car

wow love the style on this one. Cars today all look like eggs and potatoes, they dont make stylish cars anymore

I would love to have this as the companion car to the 60 Polara 2 door hardtop a friend of mine owns. His is the opposite colour scheme. The darker on the bottom, the lighter on top, but looks to be the same colours. Very lovely wagon.

Auction ended. $24,600 wouldn't buy it.
