That's a neat one! Those rusted horribly. Hard to find now. I like the 73 front end more than the later fronts. Thin bumper. Neat car!

How they changed over the years....

 

Did they carry over the name 'vista cruiser' to the flattops?
I thought 'custom cruiser' designated no glass roof panels!

 

You're confusing the wagon based on the A-body, or Cutlass models, and the one one based on the B/C body full-size cars. The former was the Vista Cruiser, first offered in 1964, and the latter was the Custom Cruiser, offered first as a wagon in 1971. The name "Custom Cruiser" was actually used by Olds much earlier, during the 1940s, on one of the versions of the Ninety-Eight. From 1964 through 1970, the largest wagon Olds offered was the Cutlass-based Vista Cruiser. Full-sized Olds wagons returned in 1971.

The Vista Cruiser name was used for Cutlass-based wagons through 1977, even though the last raised-roof model was in 1972. Starting in 1978, Olds called the Cutlass wagon the "Cutlass Cruiser" and continued that name right through the 1996 model year, which was the last year that any wagon was offered in the Cutlass line.
