Sweet rig. 4 wheel disc? Did they come with that, or was that added later... Either way, the price is right.
In '78 (and maybe '77 as well), 4-wheel discs were an option - part of the trailer-tow package I believe. Too bad the option didn't survive when the LTD was downsized for '79.
This isn't a 'Fox' body. This is the BIG Ford........ And the only 'Fox' bodies that got 4-wheel discs were the SVO and 'Cobra' Mustangs, IIRC. But you can very easily swap a disc rear end from a Mustang into a 'Fox' wagon......
This is what I was referring to, but.... Gotcha. Well once again I had my info mistaken. That's been happening an awful lot lately...
FYI.....Ford 'Fox' wagon identification: Ford Fairmont/ Mercury Zephyr - 'FOX' wagon? Yes Ford Granada / Mercury Cougar wagons - 'FOX' wagon? Yes Ford LTD / Mercury Marquis wagons - 'FOX' wagon? Yes (NOTE: Don't get confused by the name. If the vehicle says 'LTD Crown Victoria' or 'GRAND Marquis', it's NOT this wagon....) Ford Crown Victoria wagon / Country Squire wagon and Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park wagons - 'FOX' wagon? NO! (They're bigger than the 'Fox' wagons) The 'FOX' platform is a unitized body. The larger 'Panther' vehicles (Crown Vic and Colony Park) are full, separate perimeter frame vehicles.
Right, I knew all that. Them Granada wagons gotta be freakin rare. Not sure I've ever seen one in the flesh.
