    That car looks gorgeous. I would have to look at it closely, though. The guy's feedback does scare me.

    Did ya'll notice 109,000 mi on the paperwork posted from 1978?? It has original type GM factory hose clamps on it and a period Delco battery?

    the original loop-pile carpets been replaced with a cut pile type that was not found in Impalas until 1974

    Car looks good in the pictures but look at the tailgate paint verse the rear quarter paint. Looks off and kinda orange peeled. Still pretty cool car

    That's strange. I didn't think they had side post batteries in 1973.

    Hmm, I can't recall exactly when GM started with the side posts. I know the 71 Cutlass we had had top posts and the 77 Caprice had side posts. I'm thinking maybe 1975 or so??

    Most replacements today come with both. Use the ones of your choice.

    Right, but the one in that car is a repro vintage style battery. Just looks weird to me. I didn't think side posts had been around that long.



    Found some info referencing side post batteries back to 1969. Weird. I always assumed they came along in the mid-late 70's.
