Saw this on craigslist today, not a 74 which I am still after, but thought this was good enough to post for this guy. Dont know him, but like his price. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/2906202270.html
This would be the condition of wagon I'm searching for. Something that runs, drives, looks half decent, and is all there, but isn't a showpiece! I would swap on the Impala/BelAir style grille, I don't like the '73 Caprice grille.
I kinda agre, but I think it's a $1000 over priced. This old girl has the cancer, the way back windows show (sadly) alot of rust and under the trim ya know it's one of those...... why did I distube it, I justmade it worse. IMO, your going to find alot of air, no metal. What stood out rite away on he bad was.... Thats not good, that means magor no metal left under that. It's flaking away outwards from the body. ALOT more detailed pis are needed of this one, door jams, FRAME? IMO it is one of those cars that slipped through the hoops..... may have been taken care of when it came to the outside but no one ever took the drive way garden hose to the under side. New yellow (why yellow) wheels o a tan car.....makes you look past the rust. If this old girl was stil riding on steelies I dout there would be a intrest perioud, the rust would over show itself.
I can see why you showed the body issues on the car, but damn did you have to mark up his house too? He probably knows he needs new windows and a roof. The gutters actually look good to me, and I would probably leave those trees alone for a couple of years.
