Respect for a fellow member maybe?

Maybe something out of respect like a private message.....

....Hi Occupant, I don't want to steal this car out from under you as I see you are clearly intersted, bt I also am interested. Are you going to buy this and if not maybe let me know because I kinda want it also.

It's that eazy and done with class!

I have a wife, 5 kids, work from home, and I can't just up and go when I feel like it. I told him Sunday night I had people looking at my van Monday and I would call him Thursday night to make arrangements if it sold. When I called back it was gone. He told me it was sold to a guy right there in Oklahoma who picked it up on a trailer. No mention of shipping abroad. I was thinking at the time, maybe he'll get bored with it, put it back up for sale, and I would watch for it. Now there is no point in watching for that particular wagon.

I'd love to say I have all the money in the world and all the time in the world. I offered to send him a $500 money order to hold the car, he said go ahead and wait until the van sells then worry about money. So they guy tells me one story and tells you another. It just makes me no longer interested in this particular wagon because of all the info I gathered from the guy on the phone (we talked for 35 minutes btw, not 5) it seemed he only had it a year and was irritated with all the small issues it had (PS leak, back window motor, rough idle, inability to set timing dead on). I was willing to fix those issues if not outright swap the 351C from my sedan into it and deal with the 351W in my sedan as time permitted.

But here's the thing. It's sold. It's gone. There's other wagons. While I tried to sell my van to six people over the past week and it didn't sell, tons of other vehicles I had bookmarked from CL and other sites became deleted, expired, or upon a phone call or email found they had already sold. At least 3 Celebrity wagons, a '78 Pontiac Safari, a '75 Fury Suburban, numerous aero Caprice/Roadmaster wagons and a couple Custom Cruisers, and a half dozen various 79-91 Country Squires and Colony Parks.

Cars sell all the time. It happens. Would I have appreciated a PM or something? Yeah, that's pretty much all I needed. It would have gone like this:

Alex: Guten tag, I saw this Torino wagon you put on SWF, have you made arrangements to buy?
Alan: I'm still trying to sell my minivan, wont' have cash 'til the 27th, and the guy seems to want to sell locally, but if you want a go, go ahead.
Alex, 2 horus later: Thanks, I had it picked up today.
    Alan: Enjoy the wagon!

    That's all I'm asking.

AND, a courtesy PM takes less then 5 minutes and a long distance international phone call. (y)

With a staggering 10 posts in a full years time of being a member, he obviously has not bothered to get to know or respect any of the family, just using us to find wagons to ship to Germany.

    IMO...

About the saler: most of use have sold a car(or anything for that matter)when you decide to put it up, you want it gone, yesterday. Some(not all) sellers will tell you what you want to hear to get it gone.

About Alex: he joined the day of or maybe the day before this car was posted depending on the time zones. Perhaps he may have been confused with Occupants post, I don't know??? However, he could have cleared that up with a question. Or maybe he came across the car before Occupant, stumbled across this forum as so many have, seen this post and felt he needed to act fast???

About Occupant: however this came about, you sir have been outstanding, from what I have read about this car/thread. You have not only graciously step back without a cross word but you have also helped him with a few of the details that you had found out about the car. You sir deserve the member of the month award :1st: from what I know.

To sum up: this particular car could have been snaped up anyone with or with out this thread ever have been started. But what makes it touchy is the grey area that the car was purchased. IMO

    (y) Occupant you will get to annoy your wife, that I sure of!

 Alex stick around, if you don't already know, you will see what a close knit family we wagon folks are. Good luck with your new car.

    :)

So what ever, i offered the wagon to occupant per PM at the weekend, i told him he can pick up the car, he have to come to Wynnewood with money in hand and its his, he rejected.

So much confusion for nothing ! :)

Now who wants to help a DICK? Apparently you only came here to find a wagon with only 14 posts.
I came here & found a wagon that I already knew about & got it1 It's still here & so's the wagon that I joined with. I think that I can say something in behalf on my fellow Wagonites "We have the respect not to stick it to one another like that"

I hope that you made a fortune off the deal cause I bet something about this gets on GOOGLE. If it were me I would stick the DICK back to you

Alex offered to let Occupant have the car before it's shipped to Germany. Occupant declined the offer so eveyone concerned in the deal should be happy.

You 're still a DICK for sliding in then rubbing it in his face in his own thread. I would've declined your offer too. You're only here for your own personal monetary gain not for the forum itself

If your interest is so great then why do you troll & not post? How many wagons do you actually own?
