Now that's a great ad for a really cool car.

Nice, very nice '63. The interior is absolutely mint. Nice job. Does anybody else think maybe the dinoc not's right? Don't know why, but it just doesn't seem to be factory original. He made no mention of replacing it and the dealer emblem is still on the tailgate so I guess it must be, but, it just doesn't look correct to me for some reason.

Yup...looks like never2lo's car to me, too. Same city & state as well. I think I'm in agreement with you, snoot. I could be wrong but I do not believe that the wood is original. Love the car, though!

    Here's a ad pic of a '63 for comparison....

Di-Noc's too dark. Pretty sure it's been replaced. Rails are bleached out, too.

I also noticed that the grain goes in different directions on some panels. Still like the car though.

Thanks KK. His isn't the original, as I can see now from the ad, but SF, you're right; I still like it.

I love the patina on this car. It goes well with the surf board.:D If possible, I would avoid painting this car and try to keep that patina.(y)

Yup, the Di-noc is not correct but who cares? The car is great and if someone wanted to restore the exterior it'd come off anyway.

Up to $8300. Most bidders would never get that high without a full resto.

    Great car.

I think it is a BIG TIME BARGAIN at $8300 or even $12,000 or more. Until a person has hunted, located, purchased and invested in improvements in this era of car it is really difficult to grasp the expense. I do not have a clue what it is going to take to bring my interior up to that level, but I am learning it won't be cheap (and that's just the interior).

As much as l liking working on all aspects of the older wagons, I think it is wise to spend an extra dollar up front to easily save two later.

I agree. I wish I had the money. I would however leave the exterior as is. I like the worn looks. There certainly not much that didn't get upgraded.

Hey guys that was my wagon you saw on ebay. I did replace the woodgrain with dark walnut gunstock from jc whitney of all places. I wanted to make the wood down the middle look better than it was, but I didn't want to spend the 700-800 for the correct color di noc film. I thought the walnut color went with the dark rust/primer better. I intentionally installed the wood grain the way it is, so it would not look like it was airbrushed on, if that makes any sense. The sunset ford metal dealer badge is original to the car. I have the original window sticker and other papers that came with it. As long as I own it I do not plan on painting it. The Power of Patina. Most people love it others don't get it. Thanks for the compliments.:)
