    Just wow.

I'd have to add the DFRS and wish me luck finding red ones but wow. Very nice and not priced too high for what it is. Clean in and out, rebuilt 400, rebuilt C6, doesn't have power windows or locks (unless I lose my left arm or use of it I insist on avoiding power windows when I can) has air, is black, wood looks good, that's just wow.

If I didn't have this Silhouette to play with and so much money in my Torino I would pay the asking price in a heartbeat if I could guarantee availability of red DFRS to put in there.

Very nice Squire with a realistic price, imo. Sounds like it was a really basic wagon.

I had a DFRS go out in my car one time. Took forever to find a replacement. Didn't help that it was integrated in with the CHMSL next to the UHJB in the engine bay.

DFRS = Dual Facing Rear Seats don't ya know?

I wonder what kind of mileage it gets. With it being so well cared for I bet the it does better than most would expect.

    Engine and trans are rebuilt....

Often low milage cars get more wear and seals go bad etc. etc. It's quite tempting to not change the oil regularly when it is lightly used. Was an overhaul necessary? Probably not but if the tranny has to come out anyway for a rear main seal leak or tranny pump leak after 30+ years it's good insurance for reliability.

My problem with the car is if someone wants it they need to go see it. A picture may be worth a thousand words but it will hide a thousand pimples. If it's as good looking and running in person the price is quite reasonable. IMO.

Oh, as to gas mileage? 15-16 highway on a flat road at 65mph. Tops! My 73 Gran Torino with the same drivetrain and only being about 300 lbs lighter got 16 on regular with no ethenol mixed in on a flat road. Add a mountain or two and it was 12mpg.

I had looked at a 77 Squire with the 460 in it a couple years back, as some here may remember. The window sticker was still with it. EPA fuel economy rating: 8 city, 12 highway. Woo-eeee!

Just as I'm looking at this, so I'm already vulnerable. My sister sends me a text, 1974 Ford LTD Country Squire, low miles, 1200 bucks. Oh, how the fates tempt me.
