It's worth going out of the way to get a rust-free western car. My wagon came from San Diego, and it was in so much nicer condition than what I was finding nearby.

Unfortunately, because nothing great in life comes easy. Too bad Adam and Eve ate that stupid apple.

Yup - I can guarantee you that if this wagon spent all it's life in that area, it's going to be practically spotless underneath - virtually no rust. The money you spend to get it transported back east will easily be made up in reduced restoration costs.

Krash, you're most certainly right, I just need to factor in the transport cost of getting this car across the border, the last one I shipped from CA was $1200... that would likely put me in around the 4 1/2-6K mark for this car, (depending on purchase price) add in the interior work and that additional $1200 prices this one out of reach for me at this point. :banghead3:

If and when I do strike oil, I may just do that... :2_thumbs_up_-_anima. Winter is just around the corner, and every year I find myself thinking more and more of warmer climates.

Just make the seller an offer which fit your wallet.... even if it is far below the asking price.... maybe he'd rather sell for less to somebody who definately will take care of the car. Always give it a try... you can't loose. (y)
