    RARE 1990 CLASSIC CUSHMAN station wagon/truckster - $4500 (15108)

STORAGE VIRGIN 1990 Cushman meter maid wagon, factory titled as a truck [can also be titled as a station wagon or motorcycle].
Fresh out of 9 year dry storage. Tires aren't even dry rotted. Pics were taken 1 hour after pushing outside.
Dusty & dirty. Needs wash wax and service.

This is a legal for the highway vehicle with a clean North Carolina title, and yes it will keep up with traffic.
Has a heater & defrosters and can be driven in winter.

Rare 3cyl 3spd standard meter/maid station wagon model. Needed nothing when 1st stored. Very good condition.

3970 actual miles, 506 total hours. Original owner used it as a security vehicle in a shopping mall in North Carolina.

Will need fuel system flush and complete pre start maintenance before running. Engine is free, I rotated it 1
    complete revolution by hand.

$4500 or might swap for clean low mile Toyota Previa AWD or 12' x 46' x 18" driveway job. [easy one day job][no breakout]

Email your phone number for more info and pics. Put meter maid in heading......

i dunno if they are indeed legal to drive on the street in pa, this state has goofy laws on what can and can't be road legal unlike maryland where it seems that if it has a title and lights it's streetible

I think it is cool. If I had the money I would get it for light use around town.

If it is, indeed, a wagon, it would have to be the oddest one ever produced! According to my calculations, it had an average speed of 7.9 mph for all of its 3970 miles.

Looks like a very old mail delivery rig. Street legal in the city MAYBE...not on the highway I'll bet. I have seen these back in the day. You won't be breaking any speed records with it.:D

i hate our mail trucks.....i dont know about in canada or anywhere else but PA has these things (below) there extreme ugly, loud, and all together just nasty , in my opinion.:tiphat:

i wonder, can you buy one after its put out of service ? like they do with ambulance, police cars, and maybe fire vehicles......because if you can, i would buy one just to do this to it:

Well...both are fugly IMO, but I would take the one with the flame paint job for the reson it has 4 wheels:rofl2:

Back....when I was your age Cap (sh**, seamed like yestreday:p) our meter maids used the 3 wheel, but I'm sure they wer called "Grewman", and had a small pick up truck box rather than a panel. Saw a few of them flipped on there side, not very stable at 30mph.... you would have to have some big brass ones to wind that up to 60mph:rofl2:

BUT, with a proper helmet, seat belt, you could have alot of fun in a 3 wheel car:disagree::p:rofl2:

    Mail trucks

Our son is a mail carrier in central Illinois. He says those things are very hot in summer and very cold in winter. Uncomfortable, awkward, noisy, and ugly. Only our Government would buy these. No wonder mail carriers go postal! :banghead3:

I've seen those last two videos numerous times. No matter how many times I watch the Reliant Robin clip I still LMAO!:biglaugh::biglaugh: The guy does a good job with that clip. What I can't figure out is....how does this guy get INTO these cars. He is a not so skinny six foot five inches!

The 3 wheel Cushman's are considered motorcycles in most states. I had a 3 wheeled "meter maid" Cushman that I purchased from a fellow in Carlisle. It was a blast to drive, but you wouldn't want to go very fast in it, or very far. They were made primarily for municipal use where speed wasn't important, but walking wasn't practical. Sold it a few years ago to a guy that used as a security vehicle on private property. Today, there are a lot more choices and better ones than the Cushman.
