Looks fairly clean, low miles. Decoding the VIN shows it as a straight-six. Ad shows manual transmission and manual steering. I don't think I've seen another Country Sedan this stripped down. Usually it would ba a Ranch Wagon ordered this devoid of options. Unfortunately, this is another repaint, and the price looks like an attempt to get some of that expense back. The buy-it-now price is probably a little high, IMHO. An underhood picture would have been nice. Thoughts? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...2d5QQitemZ250873369301QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
I'd rather have a 390, auto, PS, PB version I think. This one sure is clean though......and low miles if post is accurate.
there a junk yard by me with a 66 country squire in it. 390 auto AC looks to be original. He says it drove in. What kind of parts support do you think I can get. It definately needs a gas tank (got squashed, popped a seam). No rust car and teh price is right.
I'd like to know more history on the car as it certainly seems like a unique wagon. I'm sure the 6 cyl 3 on the tree makes it a lot more rare than a loaded out Country Squire of the same vintage, but it sure does look like a clean survivor. Wish I had more money than I do!!
So THAT'S what mine is supposed to look like! Not trying to hijack, but mines the same color, still low miles, and best of all it's much cheaper! http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14623 V8 Auto, but 352. Original paint!
eBay bidding is up to 4500 bucks. I'd say it's reaching fair value. It's a clean car, but I'd think the six-cylinder is going to hold it to about where it is now. I think the buy-it-now price might be fair for a V8.
If you get a Marti Report on the car it will tell you exactly how many came with that motor/trans combo and color combo www.martiautoworks.com
