It would be a crying shame to see such a solid clam shell go to waste on a derby.

This is ideal for me. I work at home. Don't need a commuter, LOL!!!

Needs a fuel line replaced but the poor guy can't spring for a length of rubber hose and a pair of clamps to get by? I'd rather him lie to me about there being too much rubber in the fuel system than be up front that he's too cheap to patch it.

I hope his humor extends to e-mail. My reply:

"I've got an automotive masochistic streak in me so thick it makes me cough oil smoke when I wake up every morning. I buy cars that should never be on the road and embarass my wife and kids with them until I get divorce ultimatums and find well placed thumbtacks on my computer chair.

That said, my punctured *censored* and I like your car.

Wifey has me out looking for Suburbans and minivans and Durangos and all sorts of vehicles that are exactly not the kind I like to own. So I made a deal with her that if I go get one of those for some random amount of money that's less than we can afford to spend, I can spend the difference on something I would like and she would not tell her lawyer about it and even go so far as to hide her vast collection of thumbtacks from the kids.

So, bottom line, I need to know a few things about the wagon so I can make a *censored* lowball offer to you:

    1) 350, 400, 454, or something that doesn't belong in there?

    2) does it have a third row seat?

    3) does the power tailgate work, or even, did it work when you last tried to open it?

    4) where is the fuel line leaking? By the way, you should read this as, "I plan come to your house, replace this fuel line with a length of rubber hose, spend a couple hours trying to get it running, and carefully yet stupidly drive it home as-is because I am insane and I don't care for my safety one bit, unless it won't start at which point I will inconvenience the *censored* out of a AAA tow truck driver making him take it ALL the way back past Waco to my house for free because I have Premier RV with one 200-mile tow per year which I thankfully haven't used yet, so he can then spend the rest of this shift driving back to the Houston area empty."

I'd also love a few regular sized pictures because this CL 300x225 garbage just isn't enough to show me how properly this car matches my disposition.

You're welcome to call if you'd like me to go on and on about BS for about 12 minutes."

And that's why I never hear back from people when I answer their CL ads.

Occupant, you and the seller are equally sick and cornfuzed. I think you should buy that sucker NOW ! The price is right and the description honest...Honest it is! The car cover and accessories alone are worth $1.98. Save the tow truck driver the embarrasement and drive that beast home. Wait till after dark.:(

Occupant, I hope you hear back from this guy. You just might score a great clamshell. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

This Chevy wagon is probably very ugly to the average person, leading the owner to call it a total piece of crap, but I bet any one of us would think it is wonderful! It's probably in much better condition than he gives it credit for.

When I bought my green Estate Wagon, the first comment I got from a buddy, was "That's Gawd-awful!" Some people just don't get them.

    David :)

I was thinking the same thing. The adding of the other clam shell pictures and also stating he has a few.......spells to me to make his claims legit. :rofl2:

Some one help me out here. I have been looking for one of these in decent shape at a decent price for about 2 years now. Are these cars really selling for this price? Or are the sellers real crack pots?
