$500 http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/1986-Mercury-colony-park-station-wagon_14527746 Sellers description... Lost her youth and some of her looks - but now a classic. White with 'wood' panels. Was actively used until June 2010 - was a deluxe car - upholstered seats. Auto tran - V8 - 267K on the odometer - radio - reasonable rubber. Unlicensed and flat battery. At home in Cordova Bay. I will look at it....when it stops raining, but allwready have a bad feeling about this one. Would be great for next winter as I could barn the Buick also but 165k miles, sat all winter and the chances are greater that nobody ever ventilated the car so I suspect MOLD. It don't run and other than a jump start I don't get cars running for sellers............ Edit>>> Doesn't look like I will be looking at it soon, here is this weeks weather. Mon Tue Wed Thu Current: Shower Wind: S at 10 km/h Humidity: 93% 7°C | 4°C 8°C | 4°C 7°C | 2°C 7°C | 3°C
Well...... I just had a chat with the origonal owner, nice fellow on the phone , If time allows I'll do a drive by tonite but I explained to him I'm only going to be serious when I can look at it dry because i want to crawl under it etc. Blue interiour, he can't remember if it's PW or not:confused:. center arm rest is broken out, He thinks it will take a jump start, no third seat, and no rear speakers. He also doesn't know what motor it has, 5.0, 5.8.
Well ain't Google maps just the coolest thing, the wagon is in the drive way!! < http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=5036+d...0,0.006856&z=17&panoid=gCYcKatc4LegfulQ0r5G3A
It doesn't look too bad in the pictures, white paint may hide alot but rust always sticks out like a sore thumb. I have a split bench seat from an 85 Merc. that might fit that for Free if you end up getting it.
Thanks for the offer anyways Bill My hney said no to $500ish for new tires for the Crewzer but said yes when I emailed her the ad for the Colony, Our first date was in my old 80 Colony I can't say I was dissapointed...it was everything I thought it would be and more! That poor old Colony has sat for way more than 1/2 a year, I don't care where on the wet coast you are..Interiours don't mold like this one has in one winter. The moss on the car is 2-3 winters IMO Front door panels destroyed, every panel is dented but the wet pic doesn't show that, missing drivers side tail lite, LOTS of rust that has eaten though the door bottoms, and I couldn,t view the drivers side because it was parked rite into bushes. The engine bay was discusting, so much corotion....... No way this was a west coast car, I didn't ask. The seller was a real nice guy with alot of good memories and storys about the car. I didn't have it in me to say I'm not interested at any price and left it at, we'll have to wait for a dry day...I'll email him in a couple days saying no. If you had a Colony this would be a awesome parts car but to drive again..no way this is now 2 Colonys I've walked away from in the last year and a half.
