Had a hydraulic line for the suspension start leaking and since the wagon is down while the hose is being rebuilt I decided to flush the heater core, descale and repair all the holes that appeared in the metal octopus that routes the coolant at the firewall, plus clean the firewall a bit more along with installing new heater hoses ( not done yet).

I should get the hoses in tomorrow and go from there.

Finally got around to uploading a couple of pics from the clean up and hose replacement under the hood of the 85,
    [IMG]
The rebuilt hyd suspension pressure line just below the a/c return line.

And almost finished, I wish the hydraulic and brake reservoirs along with the washer tank were still available they would have really helped with the under hood clean up. Oh well you snooze you loose.

Replaced the Hydroboost, and resealed the steering gear box. No more leaks. Car pulled to the right a little, adjusted the driver's side camber and caster, 3/32 inch shims added to the rear 5/32 shims removed from the front, now it goes straight.

Ordered weatherstripping for all four doors and wondered what was taking so long. Called up Kennedy American in October and was told it shipped out in June but was never delivered to my house. Turns out FedEx returned it for some unknown reason. Well I finally got the package as the rubber on my car was in pieces here and there. Much quieter when driving now as would be expected.

Also got rid of the newer white California plates and put on correct year California blue plate.

Finally getting the back of the wagon sorted. I rebuilt the floor and removed the jump seats to make room for the fuel cell and fuel management system. The recess that was the footwell for said seats is now made of Brazilian Walnut, then clear coated

The engine compartment is nearly complete. The transmission cooler and its associated bits is the last big thing. The N2O purge solenoid and vent need to be installed. I’m running the vent where the antenna used to live, so when I hit the button, I nice column of N2O will shoot out from the top of the p/s fender IMG_4794.jpeg

I have more $$ in hoses/fittings than I paid for the whole car…

Yesterday I bought a Blueprint engines 306 to replace the tired 302 in my 63 Country Sedan. Like this one -

For now I am going to swap it and drive it with the existing C4. But I have an AOD out of an 86 Fox body that I am going to have rebuilt and installed. I won't be doing that part myself.

Dyno sheet says it makes 382.7 horsepower @ 6000 rpm (not that i'll get that high) and 359.8 ft-lb of torque at 4800 rpm (again...)

That will be awesome! I’m pretty sure you and I live near each other. I know a guy up around White House that does excellent work on transmissions if you don’t already have someone lined up. When I worked at a shop he did all our rebuilds including my 87 colony park.

That is a pretty stout engine. Nice that they sell it so complete and ready to run like that. Hydraulic roller cam is good so less worry about wiping a lobe. I don't know much about the BluePrint heads, but they must be pretty decent. I'm not sure if they ever tested them against anything else on Engine Masters.

I am up near Kingsport in the NE end of Tennessee. If you are in the Nashville area, it takes me three hours to get there and five hours to get back :)

I have a guy lined up for now that has done some work for me in the past. I'll definitely keep your guy in mind, though, if this one doesn't work out. Thanks Grizz!

New member here. Saw this thread so I figured I’d jump in. Waiting on my transmission guy to get ahold of me but tonight I was looking for a new place to mount my clutch return spring and bending a header tube that’s just barely touching the frame On the passenger side after I put new heads on. That’s a cool car! What you got under the hood? Is the return spring attached to the bell housing?
