Why do sellers not charge the A/C or just flat out say the system needs work ? Now a realistic buyer has to assume the A/C could need a rebuild and wonder if other problems are undisclosed. Clean car tho, just saw a small dent on passenger side front fender and a bit of front bumper filler missing under same side o/s headlamp. Now can anyone identify the olive green sedan ?

    A ‘72 Dodge Polara. That’s my guess.

Believe it is a 72 Polara also but had to go online to see a photo first. Like ken1939 used to remember this kind of thing.

It’s a 1984, same year Terminator 1 came out. Would be nice to own a color copy of the wagon Arnie drove in the movie!

Hey Spartan.... Welcome to shear lunacy. You can’t get $6,800 for it, he takes it down to $6,600- bid stalls at $6k, so obviously the next move is re-list if for $7,800 that’ll get all those fence sitters off the dime. EBay sadly is replete with month over month cars that seem to move the wrong direction price wise. It’ll be interesting to see where he winds up

I was just looking more closely at this listing. I thought that this was the instrument cluster layout in 1984:

The one in the craigslist listing shows this:

Were there different instrument options in '84? My parents had a Caprice Estate when I was a kid and I seem to recall the version with the rectangular speedometer (but I could be wrong).

The 2md picture is an optional gauge package, with trip odometer $64 option. The first picture is the standard instrument cluster.

I have to say that it wasn't much of a gauge package. All I see in the way of gauges is a fuel economy gauge and a temperature gauge. No oil pressure or amp/volts gauges. There are still four idiot lights around the top of the leftmost gauge.

There's a lot of hash marks around the top of the two outer gauges and around the bottom part of the fuel gauge, but they're just decorative. They look "gaugey," but there are no gauges there.
