You could buy it, spend a fortune on rust repair, and drive it.

For '72 Olds, I'd prefer a rust free GA Vista Cruiser please, Santa Cat!

I am not Santa, or Cat.
Also I've heard that you were a bad boy this past Christmas.

Do you think that’s Karen’s Vin Number? I guess people just think a rusty non running car that’s been sitting for 10 years with the tarp just rolled back Is worth $5K. Just cause it’s a wagon and that’s what her neighbor told her it was worth. You think any TLC at all would help?

Someone call up Karen and convince her that Derbyists are closet child molesters and/or roadkill cooks
Once the presents are placed under the Christmas tree, behavioir no longer matters, since parents aren't going to out themselves as being the real Santas by pulling the gifts because of reasons of behavior, Sir

An effort to clean it up and clean it out would be a start. Many more pics would help a lot. And you would have to assume an engine rebuild would be required.
But if the wagon is basically solid, it is not beyond hope.

Are we talking about Poison Ivy or the Olds wagon?

Well Mr T. Since it’s around your Birthday, I’m not going to club you over the head with the obvious BUT:

Poison Ivy. Vs. this ‘72 Olds.

No amount of TLC. Would help Mr. PI. You can scrub and scrub, at the end of the day. PI is still dirty and filthy.

The junk can be taken out of the Olds. I think PI is beyond hope

The Olds can get an engine rebuild and run like new. Mr PI —- its like Humpty Dumpty. You can work and work, but still a broken man.

A cleaned up and running Olds is at least worth some nice money. Mr. PI. $1.98 on the hoof.

Shinny vs. dull. You get the picture?

I do hope you forgive me Mr. PI for having some fun at your expense. I really enjoy your posts and you are a integral part of this site that makes it enjoyable! Keep up the good work.

I'm already deep in debt. Any truth or fun at my expense only burdens my creditors. Looks like I'll soon have to start wearing the ill-famed Iron Mustache and scarf down a heap of peanut butter sandwiches, to start heading into the other finabcial direction.
Uhhh, oh yeah, the wagon. Looks like Karen's into the golfball-sized Quadrajet secondary barrel sound, since as the original owner, she's into replacing the original air cleaner with a loud one.
From what we can see, it looks otherwise "unmolested", under the hood. Since the belt is missing, the compressor might be frozen stiff, if that's even a possibility. Otherwise, it should be worth a decent home

Seller should clean it first then they can start by asking half of that including turn signals
