It does look nice, but that is a very low option example, no A/C or even power steering from what I can see.
Yeppers - those decals are kind of like "translucent" (if that's the word to describe it) - the body color bleeds through the woodgrain. There was one of these at Carlisle recently (a 72) and it had those neat "woodgrain" decals. Unusual. I don't know if the other Mopars in them years had that same feature?
'71 Monacos had woodgrain "arranged" similarly to the '72s & '73s, but I can't tell from the brochure if it's translucent. The Chrysler T&C in some of these years also used translucent woodgrain decal, although arranged more conventionally.
No a/c but it has power steering you can see the hoses at the gear box. The close ups of the wood grain definitely shows its age. Good shape but not great. I think the pics are making it look better than it really is.
OK, where is the rust hiding on this Mopar?? I like green on this big wagon. 1973, this is pre Lean Burn right?
Actually nice for the price. Throw in a full tank of gas and the real Betty Boop and I may be interested. Still I'd see that dent everytime I walked up to the wagon.
I remember reading that Chrysler had a heck of a time with trim alignment on that front end, due to the hidden headlights. They should never have put a horizontal trim piece across the headlight doors.
