That's often a reason. At almost $11,000, his asking price is probably about double what it's worth. $6,000 to $7,000 is probably reasonable. It's a nice car, but it's a station wagon, and, outside of this forum, it will have limited appeal.
I don't know....I think he's got it priced where it needs to be. This is a smaller used car dealer and he always has a few "my style" low mileage unique cars. Being a dealer, everyone will beat him down on price so let's say the car can be had for $9,000-$10,000. And the buyer has to pay sales tax, you can't fudge it like buying from a private owner. We all know that classic car pricing/demand is all about the right condition, color combination, and options. This car appears to have the first two for sure. I'm not an expert on options available this year-but it's not a stripped down model by any means. A/C, road wheels, 3rd seat, tilt, and sport mirrors will satisfy most buyers. I'm only an hour away from this car and I haven't looked at it because I'm afraid I would come home with it. You don't see too many Colonnade wagons around, especially in this condition. Great color and appears to be super solid. Hope it remains in good hands for years to come. If it was a similarly equipped/condition clamshell it would probably bring $12k?
