318 V8. Another nice example. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Chrysl...dy-Wagon-/161682904427?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
Definitely starting to venture into the eighties with that look. I always used to think that the thick trim was kind of ugly. Now that years have passed, I have learned to appreciate (in a weird way) the uniqueness of that time period and style. If I had a big barn, and a large bank roll, I would consider adding this to my collection. In other words I would be dangerous.
You could specify 'wood delete' on them, but I believe that was a pretty rare choice....... We had this one up here a couple of years ago IIRC..... 1980 -
I'll bet if buyers knew how the wood sides and vinyl tops went bad many would have ordered the delete choice. This wood delete wagon really is to plain. I want a happy medium.
Happy medium would have been the Dodge Diplomat Medallion wagon. Wood was inside the metal trim on the sides. They were also available with wood delete or no wood on the non medallion level wagons. Or you could just go for the Aspen/Volare wagons to really go down to the strippo level all the way back to loaded with wood.
Really clean wagon. Still how old are these photos. I don't think Chicago looks like that this time of year.
Here's a much cheaper one near Philly...$950...but if you check out a yard sale group on Facebook, he has dropped the asking price to $750 http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/4987525394.html
