"You will find cars used for riprap since the 60's with beautiful chrome still on it."

    I'll bite; What's riprap?

riprap, in it's "usual" form, is rocks. normally used to fill in washs, washouts, ruts in dirt roads, etc, to reduce further erosion. Yes, down here, they have actually pushed junk card and truck into washes to serve the same purpose.

Yep in the midwest it was done for years. Popular on river banks at the bends of fast moving rivers.
I had hopes of salvaging a 1956 Chevy convertable in a gulley along a state road one time. It even had the continental kit on the rear. For some reason I never went back. Believe I found out it was state right of way and workers shoved the car in the gulley. Would have liked to at least gotten that contenental kit and some stainless.
Even wagons like this 58 Buick Caballero were once just useless riprap or future can openers.

Mike, I cannot get those for you at this time. When we get up to the car I can look at it. I am too busy this week to get to the car, which is 30 minutes north of me...just working too darn hard!!!!!!

I'm sure you would really rather drive it to Michigan. A full helmet with a face shield would be mandatory.

So you'll be having it shipped instead of towing it yourself? Very expensive for a non running car that distance I bet. But cheaper than towing it yourself I suppose.

Time = money also, better to ship than stepping over a dollar to save a dime to then have it cost you 2 dollars compared the 3 dollars trying to save a dime in the big picture.:)
