If not $6,500, they should come pretty close if it looks as good in person as it does in the pics.

Nice car. If it has been well-maintained, the mileage shouldn't hurt it. In looking at the pic below, I noticed the woodgrain on the left front fender is lighter than the rest. Did anyone else notice it?

Good catch, but I think it's the LT fender Di-Noc that's original. I think the doors and quarter have been replaced - with stuff that doesn't match very well.

Well, my curiosity go the best of me and I called about the car. The owner is a nice guy. He answered all of my questions. It seems he bought the car from the original owner a couple of months ago. The original owner (now 92yo) was a doctor and meticulous about maintenance.

As the story goes, while driving home from the hospital one night, a deer ran out and hit the left front fender. The fender and woodgrain were replaced. So, that is the reason it is lighter. The rest of the woodgrain is original.

He is selling it for health reasons. According to his story, he has some pretty bad back trouble. He bought a Lincoln, which you can see in the photos, that doesn't bother his back when driving. He said the Buick drives and rides great, but it does affect his back.

Now you know.......the REST of the story.

Okay Paul.:tiphat: It does look like a well maintained wagon and great colors. To me the prices on many of these older wagons seems high. If I were to buy it with the idea I was gonna keep it and use it for a long while it wouldn't matter. But how many other station wagon lovers are there who would pay that much if I wanted to resale, like the present owner?
I supose it's just a gamble one has to take. I do know I'd rather be driving some of these well kept wagons rather than my quadcab now that we no longer pull an RV.

Also, the "ESTATE WAGON" badge on the tailgate and the "ELECTRA" on the passenger side dash......were they original or added??

The "ELECTRA" badge on the dash would be standard. However, I can't find any wagon with an "ESTATE WAGON" badge on the tailgate. Hmmmm........makes you wonder.

Big Buick land barge, shure I am bias. But at $6500....... if I had $6500 to spend on another wagon, well there is a lot of 60's wagons out there that although may need some TLC but cool turn key drivers with a bit more p*ss and vinegar under the hood. :)

As for the seller, I guess every medical condition may vary but myself having a few pounds of steel shoved up my *** nut and bolting my spine back together I'll take the Buick hands down over the Lincon for comfort seating, I've ridden shot gun in those, horrible for comfort . I'm a Ford guy at heart but Ford has the most uncomfortable seats period out of the big 3 back then and still today. The deer in the headlights accident may be true but I think the seller is just a flipper with dreams of Barret Jackson. IMO, if you have a bad back, you will know in 5 minutes if it's a car for you before you buy it, not a couple months later ...........
