    Beautiful automobile! Too bad it lacks A/C. :( If it is an original SF car, that would explain it... A/C was/is really not needed there that often.

    Beautiful wagon, and you certainly wouldn't be able to take a 'project' and turn it into something this nice for less....

    The semi-wide whites look good on this one, and it's period-correct.

    The first four Colony Parks are the best of the run as far as I'm concerned. But I wouldn't turn any of them down.

    :bowdown:Screech!!

    This one looks excellent! Rarely see one of these beauties up for sale at any price! Wonder which engine is in it? No factory cabin air but that could be added with a vintage air unit if necessary I'm sure. (y)

    Drop dead stunning!:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

    I do not know, but were not all A/C systems back then a vintage air/dealer installed under the dash units?:confused:

    I think the integrated factory installed systems started on the high end Cadillac and Lincoln models first then gradually filtered down in following years to lower lines. By '59 the big cars had integrated systems, our '63 F85 Olds(smaller car) had a under dash system that may have been dealer installed, I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can add some detail? :confused:

    Check out this article from Curbside Classic on the '59 Merc Monterey! It has a picture of the dash showing an under dash air handler unit. Author orig said "aftermarket" then struck through type and corrected with "factory." Beautiful car!

    Yeah, I was about to say that my 1960 Oldsmobile had an integrated factory A/C system with the in-dash vents. I guess it varied by make/models as it slowly phased in. GM seemed to normally be a step ahead than other car companies on many innovations, especially way back then. Instrument panel design had a lot to do with it as well I am sure.

    Here in Canada, under dash units that looked after market were factory installations well into the 70s.
