Humber was part of the Rootes Group in GB in the '60s, which became part of Chrysler up to around 1973 or so. They did sell a few in the US and Canada back in the day. Mechanical parts are the easiest to source, but parts are not impossible to find, thanks to Algore and the Internet!!!

    Neat cars.

Never heard of it. Sure looks nice. But, yes, where would we get parts?
Of course for that price we could do the Chevy small block thing.
What caught my eye was the double car port. I had to buy two singles of that type and put them next to each other.

There is a 4 door sedan version parked in my barn, saldy it's just worthy of a parts car.

Anybody know where the gas cap is on one of these, it's rite in the picture.

I do remember seeing a few Humbers around back in the day. I always thought they were for people who wanted a Jaguar sedan but couldn't afford one. Motor? I'm guessing a somehwhat small OHV (not OHC) straight 6?

Sort of looks like a 7/8ths scale Checker, doesn't it?

Those are not "picnic tables", they are for executives and people that needed such a thing. Obviously, these folks were chauffeur-driven!

The engine is a straight Six OHV with a head that was as close to a hemispherical design as it gets. It was a 3.0L Six with three-speed manual std, and a manual w/OD or an automatic as an option. They were built in England, Australia an dNew Zealand over the time they were around. The Super Snipe name was in continuous use from 1938 to 1967. There were five series of these from 1958 - 1967. This is a Series V. Top end was right at 100 mph, with gas mileage in the low 20s.

One of you guys needs this one!

The gas cap it the reflector, the bottom one on the passenger side tail lite. If you ever see one of these cars in person you will notice that each side reflector lite is a different size.

Now that you pointed it out, looking at it I see the passenger side is different. (y) Wouldn't have noticed if you didn't point it out though.
