Might as well go ahead and stick a mast with a crow's nest on it. Horrors.

Some things make me shudder, but then, when we buy a vehicle, we turn it into our personal version of what makes us happy. I can't see this either, but possibly it was even worse than this before they did this to it.

Well, he did say get over it! I'd give $2000 for it. Kinda nice in a sad sort of way. Possibly it was already rotted out and had damage to the body.

By the looks of it, this conversion could have been done long ago - maybe back in the 60's. It wouldn't have necessarily been seen as a 'collector vehicle' back then.

1947 buick. this was a station wagon which was converted into a woody pickup in the mid '70's. i know, we all wish it was still a wagon so let's try to get over it. i drove this a few years ago and it drove great. smooth at 55 - 60mph. it has a slight clutch chatter and an exhaust leak. it has been kept in a nice dry building and started occasionally. i would like the space it takes up. time to sell it. the pictures are abt a year old.it is a bit dusty right now. asking $9,000.- would like to see it go. for info call 518-692-7758. i will not text.

Come on people... Whoever did this may have done it as THEY wanted and with what resources they had available at that time....
the 60's and 70's gave us some of the wildest customs ever... And by looks of things
many of the types of customs we saw in that era will never be seen again...

He did say get over it. It's still better than what happened to most of the other 1947 Buicks.

It was only an old Buick station wagon partially made of wood. Git over it!:dancing:
