I used to dislike cars with nothing on them because that's what we grew up with. But I would love this one! Maybe doll it up with some whitewalls and deluxe '60 Dodge wheelcovers though.

For a 53 year old car this one looks very good.

Very cool wagon and well preserved. Its not easy to find a Mopar from that era that is that solid and rust free, because these were very prone to rust. The car is amazingly original.

My only dislike is it is a plainer trim and manual shift, I am more of a fan of the higher trim cars and with the more options, the better. :)

I wonder how much the vehicle weighs, since it's getting pulled around by a Valiant drivetrain. It might have taken forever for that wagon to do Pike's Peak. That combination was the most dependable and thrifty, though. The only weak spots those slants had were the plastic distributor drive gears.
I find their attempt to cover up the missing pushbuttons amusing. Those pushbutton patches are probably the most rare available items for that year.
Looks honest, in any case. The seller neither steam cleaned the drivetrain nor attempted to cover any surface rust.
The price is comparitively low. I'd go for it.
That plumber was pretty clever. He buys his wife a large car without power steering. Maybe, that's a good idea for others here who wish to have a low milage car in the family.
On the other hand, maybe he might have wanted to taylor his wife to his fancy

Those Seneca tail lights were highly coveted by '55-'56 Ford owners. Bolt right on and look like a "Custom" part from an old AMT 3 in 1 model kit.:)
I put a set on my '55 and jazzed them up with blue dots.

Say what???? Valiant drivetrain??? The 225 Six was used in ALL lines of Chrysler rear-wheel-drive products (except New Yorker and Imperial) from 1960 through 1988; in the A-, B-, C-, E-, F-, J-, M-, and R-body cars, plus trucks from 1/2-ton all the way up through the D/W500 series heavies! Valiant drivetrain???

I will grant you tough and dependable, but not that econ9omical. A good 318 would give better mileage in a 72 Dart than the 225, and be able to get out of its own way! Climbing the hills in Northern Ontario on the way to the Rocky Mountains was plain, old fashioned not fun at all. That 'leaning tower of power' can stay in someone else's car, thanks.
