Never seen a "flat-6" other than Corvair. Do you think they mean an inline 6?

Seems reasonable on price compared to other wagons this age and apparent condition. Would finding parts be a nightmare?

They mean a flat head, in line 6 cylinder engine. It seems like the hard to find, wagon-specific parts are present and accounted for, so restoration should be relatively straight forward. The good news is that Studebakers have pretty solid club support. This could be a great run about, and certainly not one you will find very often in any shape.

Just had a long talk with him, he sounds fairly honest. It sat in a corn crib for a long time, so mice in the interior etc. Said it does run good, has 3 on the tree. Rust and dents are minor, needs brake work. May have to go take a look, maybe I could get the price down.

Looks like it to me, he said it runs and has paperwork where the motor was rebuilt 10k miles ago. I'm waiting now for photos of the front and rear. I do like that it's a 2 door.

That's a pretty good lookin' Pelham!!! Let me know if you pick it up.
It's on the back burner right now, but I keep a registry of sorts for all '56 to '58 Studebaker sedans and wagons. This also includes '57 and '58 Packards.
