CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, to bad bumper fillers are missing and the tailgate paint doesn't match.

Very nice wagon! I bet the reserve price on this one is very high.

The option choices on 1970s cars are always so interesting. I wonder if this Impala was ordered by the owners?

Power door locks and 3rd seat but manual control for the outside rearview mirrors and tailgate.

My buick has one i didn't think i would like it.Don't get me wrong i would RATHER have the power gate but i have what i have. What i did was when restoring the car i stepped up the lift spring made a BIG difference needed it easier so if the wife needed to haul something she could close the gate.Worked out really well actually,i don't mind the manual so much now.

Help me out, what is a manual tailgate? Does the tailgate still slide under neath in the normal clamshell style? and if so is it wound up and down on a winch? I know the Inpala is a lower spec car, but how common is a manual tail gate?

The manual and power tailgates work exactly the same. The only difference is you have to push the manual gate down and pull it up by hand.

The bad thing about a manual gate is it is opened, or closed. Electric gate can be lowered to the desired height

    Gettin' up there!

Wow. $7400 with 6 days to go... and a reserve not met. I bet the reserve is at least 10K. It's a beautiful wagon.

I can tell you the reserve is over $8,000 as I have the high bid and my high bid of $8,000 does not meet reserve. I am done, it isn't worth that much to me. If it was a 1976 Caprice Estate I would go $12,000 or maybe a little more. But not for a Impala

Up in the air on the milage from the straight on pic it looks like it doesn't line up,but the side shot sort of looks like it does.

also has the dent in pass side 1/4 and the tailgate has been repainted. it doesn't match the 1/4's from any angle

i agree swanny not a 10,000 car nice as hell but not THAT nice

That was the way it was back then. People ordered what they wanted and saved money by not ordering what they didn't want. My '73 Custom Cruiser is low-optioned with no power door locks or windows, no cruise control, no tilt wheel, no trip odometer, base AM radio, base air conditioning system (at least it HAS A/C), but one thing the original owner did want was a power front seat, so it has that.
