Arguably even less so really. It's payload capacity is not increased by removing the rear roof, and now the cargo area is unprotected from weather or theft. Kind of a lose/lose proposition.

    Butcher.

I suppose the utility is tall stuff but I would rather rent a trailer.

Howdy LSD..er, I mean LTD Ranchero, try not to take us too seriously. We are always making fun of some crazy wagon (or dreadlocked banana winner) only to have the wagon owner swoop in and blast us when we least expect it. :slap:

Just last week, the much maligned owner of a much discussed Caprice Estate showed up to settle the score, and set the record supposedly straight. Whoo boy! That was a mess! We almost had to get a mop!

We should probably all be taken out and horse-whipped when we get going on something, but it's the internet, and that ain't gonna happen. :29:
Besides, it's kind of fun, and if you stick around, I'm sure you will find something that strikes you funny, or just plain wrong, and you will be right there with us, trying to come up with the next hilarious insight, milking it for all it's worth.

I missed your LTD Ranchero pics, so I would love for you to post some. We will probably lambast it all over again, but maybe it will get a few positive comments on here, just like it does when you are out in it. :thumbs2:

You seem to be taking it all in stride, and if you have a thick enough skin to stick around and get to know us, and let us get to know you, you will find us one of the most wonderful (and silly) group of guys and gals on any forum, anywhere. Welcome! :Welcome:

    David :)

:Welcome:LTD Ranchero to the station wagon forum. What you write may or may not be true. Normally a new member will go to the proper thread and introduce themselves first, telling about yourself and the wagons you own or wish to own.

Geeee, you would think I stole that line, from a Cat:D:scratchchin::yup:

I see that I posted in the original thread myself.......But that was a long time ago and as mentioned we do what we do;)

We all have our own preferences etc so don't take it to heart:). Heck, I have a drive way full of wagons and get no positive feed back from any friends because of:rofl:

Yeah, Wix described us wagon loonies pretty well. We get a bit opinionated when we see someone try to 'harm' a station wagon. And don't ever mention the 'DD' guys with good words.

Yes, we can be a bit judgmental at times, but we all keep our heads about it all, and there's room for all sorts of honest discussion.

    Welcome to the SWF!

Since the ad is old and down, I'd love to see pictures of this. I've seen some wagon-pickup conversions come out real nice. Some of them look downright scary though. For example, if this Buick had different wheels it'd be really sweet:
