    Talking about Crosleys....
    We drove over to Carson City, Nevada last Wednesday to visit my mom, sister and other family. Driving through the downtown area in the right lane we are passed by a Crosley wagon - turned into a pick-up truck (Crosleyamino?). Unfortunately, couldn't get a camera on it.

    THERE IS APPERANTLY AN ABUNDANCE OF WAGONS FOR SALE IN TEXAS.THAT 62 PLYMOUTH WAS LIKE THE OLD VALIANTS MY DAD ALWAYS COMMENTED HOW UGLY THEY WERE.I REMEMBER THE VALIANT LOOKING LIKE A CHINESE FACE (I SAVED THAT DIDNT I NO ONES OFFENDED I HOPE) THAT WAGON WAS SO UGLY IT IS BEAUTIFUL. IMAGINE THAT PLYMOUTH WITH A MODERN HEMI AND DRIVE TRAIN AND PAINT AHH BEAUTIFUL. i WAS AT THE LANGLEY CRUISE IN LAST WEEKEND (WE GOT THERE AT ABOUT 3 OCLOCK SO WE MISSED A LOT OF CARS) AND MOST OF THE WAGONS (ONLY 6) WERE EARLY 60s CHRYSLERS.THE REALLY STRANGE SPACEY LOOKING CARS WITH STAR WARS LIKE DASH BOARDS AND EXCESSORIES. THEY WERE CONSIDERED UGLY CARS TOO BUT NOW LOOKED ON AS BEAUTIES. AS A SIDE NOTE I REMEMBER MY UNCLE WHO WAS FORD EVERYTHING COMING HOME WITH A 1960 I THINK BELVEDERE FOR MY AUNT. HE BOUGHT IT BECAUSE HE SAID THE GUY THAT DESIGNED IT WAS DRUNK AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOST UGLY VEHICLE HE HAD EVER SEEN. HE WENT BACK TO FORDS A COUPLR YEARS LATER AND HE TOLD ME LATER THAT CAR WAS SO UGLY WITH THE HUGE FINS AND WILD DASH AND INTERIOR THAT HE FOUND IT BEAUTIFUL

    I liked the 59 Rambler best I think, wish there were more pics of it. Sadly, I believe Otis Campbell was turned loose with the camera again on the Poncho/Olds ad? Or maybe the scenario was......"This wagon right over here looks a lot better than the Pontiac! We'll include pictures of it in our ad!"

    That 62 Plymouth Belvedere is a RARE beast indeed. Those 'Plucked Chickens' were not common when new, especially in the Belvedere range, and the wagons even more so. Put the two together, and add 50 years of attrition, and there simply cannot be many left! That one looks fairly solid, as well. I would love it if I lived somewhere I could use it. Our winters killed these cars off a LONG time ago up here.

    Oh man 81X, you are BAD :naughty:

    I pop in real quickly to see what happened overnight and then there is this thread that sucked up about half an hour of valuable time that I should be packing the trailer for our trip tomorrow.

    All I can say is

    :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::yahoo::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::banana::tiphat:

    So now what, I come back to look at more and you quit?:49:

    You get us all excited, then you pull the rug out from underneath us.

    What are we supposed to drool over tonight? Well, except for the VC with the splashes on the side.

    I enjoy these posts with the various wagons to look at. One learns a lot about what it out there for sale and even just what is still out there.

    AS with your other posts, always an enjoyable read.
