That's a beautiful little wagon! It's got the Mitsubishi 2.6 - I always thought that was supposed to be a good engine - better than the Chrysler 2.2 or 2.5's...

The floor shift/console in these is rare.....

You have it backwards, KK. That 2.6 Mitsu engine is way problem prone. I like the 2.2 Turbo the best. 2.2 next and then the 2.5. The 2.2 Turbo has some snort but you have to watch the head gaskets and not overheat it.

I had the 2.5 in a '86 Dodge Aires company car. What a turd..........
Very unrefined engine - even way back in '86. The 2.2 I got in a Dodge Shadow later was much better.

Yeah K.K. ,but once you got the hampsters movin' on the belt the MPG waz great wasn't it:rofl2:BTW, My only issue with the 2.6L iz that if you EVER starve the top end for oil, the cam pedestalz go away real quick. AND YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW THE COST OF BUILDING THEM UP WITH ALUMINUM WELD AND HAVING THEM RE-MACHINED:cry::cry::cry:

The BIGGEST problem with that engine was inadequate Nicasil treatment at the factory, so the bores are slightly soft. Oil burning is the result, and you cannot rebuild and have it last worth a tinker's Damn. From what I've heard that is a common problem with a LOT of the Misubishi engines of that era.

The Mikuni carb on the 2.6 was a nightmare, too.

What a weirdly optioned car - floor shift and trip computer but crank windows and bottom of the line stereo.
