Geeze, for $1000 bucks it looks real clean. Wonder how difficult it would be to put a donor roof back on? Well, guess you'd need doors too.

1974 LTD Country Squire Wagon "CONVERTIBLE". I bought this "Classic" 5 years ago with 78,000 original miles and made it into a convertible that I could take all of my 6 children for Summer Cruises! It has all the power equipment/cruise/AC/CD. 400 cubic in. V-8 that isn't very economical but does get many "smiles to the gallon!" I hate to get rid of it but in the last couple of years it just sits in the garage (it has NO top). Its time for someone else to enjoy "Labomba."
$1000. or trade for a commuter car.

I think it lokos cool! $1000 is a bargain I think. Unique and clean!

How is chopping a top on a '51 Mercury any different that cutting a top off a wagon?

Uhh, 'cause when you're done the Merc still has a top, albeit lower. :tiphat:

Yes and oddly the Merc is worth more if done right. That wagon would be a great tour car for a Zoo or nature ride or some sort of gator viewing place like a fancy swamp buggy for city dudes. Sell it to some kid for Spring Break!
