  • This is my 1967 Mercury Commuter 6-passenger wagon. It was lightly optioned from the factory, but did come with two-tone paint, factory in-dash air, 6-way power seat, Deluxe belts, roof rack (option?), and tinted glass.

The original 390 2v motor is long gone having been replaced with a 460 from a 1970's F250. I removed that due to some issues with oil leaks, carb needing rebuilding, and numerous other issues with the lousy engine swap performed.

It is now being prepped with a completely rebuilt front and rear suspension, and the addition of bucket seats, console and third row seats. Power comes by way of a rebuilt 1969 429 engine with a mild build-up. I did the port and polish on the heads and built the long-tube headers.

Looking forward to cruising this and hopefully doing some family vacationing with it as well.
