THIS A VIDEO TAKEN BY A STATE TROOPER DASH CAM. SEE HOW QUICKLY YOUR LIFE COULD CHANGE BY TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD FOR A SPLIT SECOND, OR ON A SLICK HIGHWAY. THINK ABOUT THIS NEXT TIME YOU SEE SOMEONE TEXTING OR READING A BOOK OR PUTTING ON THEIR MAKEUP, WHILE DRIVING. http://rmirror.net/r/videos/comments/q5hu9/car_accident_nsfl/
Saw this posted a few days ago....terrible... It's actually not a Suburban. Video is from Russia, I believe. Don't think a Suburban would have disintegrated like that.
Wow, just brutal. Suburban or other, The energy behind that rig going down hill even with out flames it would explode on impact. Looks like the driver lost it to the exact spot where the grade on the highway changed.
Saw this awhile back. Makes you wish you didn't watch. I drove an eighteen wheeler. Believe me, when you are on the road a few years you see things like this as they happen and shortly after. Never a pretty sight. Even semis and RV's disintigrate with enough impact. Saw more four wheel drives wreck when they first became popular than anything else. I only came close once in a big rig and got hit head on with my one week old Ford truck one time by drunks. Not saying I was a great driver. Common sense and luck play a lot in every trip you take.
That was scary. I have never seen a car disintegrate like that. Geeze...one minute driving along and seconds later.......
Showed this video to all my drivers yesterday, although shocking the message was loud and clear, you're never completely safe on the road, good conditions, bad conditions it comes down to paying attention and driving smart.
You know...in watching that video....the traffic must have been traveling pretty fast, or, the driver of the unfortunate SUV never took his foot off the gas. After losing control and skidding for a bit he hit the truck along side of him twice and then seemed to shoot straight across the highway still at high speed. Well, whatever....it sure was a tragic accident.
I noticed that too Fox, no brake lights and his speed seemed low until I saw how quickly he crossed the lanes. I think he may possibly thought he was going pull it out without braking. Yes indeed a horrifying accident to say the least.
That driver did exactly the same thing I did when I rolled my Focus over - he got into the slush between the lanes. He over-corrected. I was able to gently get it going to the right.
Your origonal post says it all 81, does'nt matter where you live or what the road conditions are, it's that one split second of not paying attention. Dallas Texas.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPFJoSwKTK8
