Dear fans of "properly seasoned" station wagons,

In California, Santa Ana winds are the signs of autumn approaching rather than frost. Still, there is no denying the sun's steady progress to the south at this time of year. I had the garage door open to cool everything before a day of expected hot temperatures. As the sun started to rise, it reflected on my trusty wagon's fresh wax job and it made a pretty scene:

Definitely a sign to folks in places where cars must hibernate for the winter that you'd better get your driving fix now - while you still can!!

    Cheers, Edouard :beerchug:

To me Fall is the best season of all. Yet I hate Fall! It is also that short period of time before WINTER ~
We live on a short road that is East and West. During summertime the sun is behind our house, to the north. Now it shines right down that dirt road. I do not look forward to when it is further south in the pine forest.
I can tell it's getting colder. It was 60 degrees one morning here in Florida. It was after noon before it reached 90 again. I hate winters!
You and I are near each coast. I feel for those people in the midwest and way up north. Almost time to winterize and park the wagons for another six months while we ride around with the windows down.

The high temp here in Texas is supposed to dip below 90 this weekend. I may have to pull out a jacket!!

Make sure you check the antifreeze and change to winter air in those tires after you clean the beach sand off them.:thumbs2: And add windshield antifreeze to that container under the hood.

Sure sign winter is nearing. Canadian Tire has their snow tires out on display! Time to think about that for what ever we drive through that HORRIBLE white stuff (I mean the salt, not the snow). Oh, how I could afford to be a snowbird and MIGRATE!

At least one more heatwave in CA

    Dear Station wagon weather watchers,

Well, today my trusty wagon is staying in the cool garage as the promised heatwave finally hits with full force.

However, the Monterey National Weather Service office is starting to waffle on rain for about a week to ten days from now. Definitely signs of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.

    Cheers, Edouard :beerchug:

This is my favorate time of year, a bit of crisp in the air, yet still warm. Colours changing and the od leaf falling from a tree. This morning I declared it Autumn... went out with the boys this AM and had to go back in for a sweat top...the "crisp" arived today.

It's nice to go to the garage and not feel like I'm going to die from the heat. I have a lot of work to do and not sweating my @#$%& off is refreshing. Takes the undercoat longer to dry but that's why God invented beer.:drink:
