i did tell the story about how the cj5a was over my head...and i sold it an bought a comanche?....if i didnt let me know! anyway, nothing terribly new with the comanche ...i am still trying to chase down a shakey idle and a vibration and roar at 70mph (though i suspect tires..as the rear tires have bad belts from sitting...like bulging sidewall bad) that said, the wheels on the 93.5-96 f150 xlt premium pkg are my absolute favorite factory wheel of all time....this one.... but my 2nd favorite is the ranger FX4 level II wheel....made by alcoa (a pittsburgh based company! ) well the F150 doesnt have the same bolt pattern as my MJ...but the ranger does! well... i looked and these wheels go for a nice $$$ so i figured..."screw it..it aint worth it!" fast forward to two weeks ago...my buddy chase owns a junkyard here in Ellwood and he seems to get some unusual stuff every now and then. so i showed up the other day and he had just brought in a 2002 ranger with the fx4 level2 wheels!!! he gave me the "buddy price" that i could not resisit! the 31's that are on the rims are junk so they had to come off, but the rim is 15x7 so the tires that are on the stock rims will fit. i just need to grind down the little lip that is inside the hub hole so they can fit over the hubs. but imho....they look good! i think a 4.0 swap is gonna be too much of a pita but i do still want 4wd. so that is on the docket!
