Anybody got any info. on replacement rear window motor for 1969 Mopar? Is it the same motor used in the Fury side windows? Any help would be appreciated. A long roof is just not complete without the tail gate functioning!

    Thanks

No it's not the same as the side window motors. It's bigger and mounts different to the regulator. I had three of them but sold them this spring.

Thanks for the information. Any idea where a guy would look for one of those motors?

Try Neal Freeman in Whitehall, Montana or Moore's Auto Salvage in Rapid City, SD. their both on the web. It IS the same moter in the '61 doors and gate and one of those big fat ones with the little hard rubber donut connector for the drive gear. I just cant remember which side the gear is facing, and the 2 6"-7" bolts that hold the motor together are longer on the gate motor for mounting the gear head. Worst case senerio have it rebuilt. Any shop that can rebuild an alternator should be able to do that for you. GL with it:thumbs2:, Jer

Thanks for the contacts. I just purchased this wagon and the motor is missing so rebuild is not an option. Of course I am watching eBay and scouring the web but I really appreciate the contacts. By the way I introduced this car on the general discussion board under " My First Mopar"

    Thanks again

    ---memories---

I seem to remember a post, a few years back, where someone was having a similar problem,,, just only with a Ford. The motors under the power seats were the same as those for in the doors and tailgate on a Ford. If the the one's in the side doors aren't the same, maybe the one's under a power seat are... Just sayin'---

    hey, hey, hey

Some sanding and a spray can of blue paint, and most of that is over with. Would definitely keep the mural on the tailgate. Maybe seal under a few layers of clear coat.

Yo 65 C.S. Call Moore's at: 605-348-4926 rather then E-mailing them. Their inventory list says they have a '68 Plymouth and a '71 also. Their # on the '68 is:1554 and the '71# is: 1272. I'd go for the '68 first AND DO NOT THROUGH AWAY WHAT YOU HAVE OF THE GEAR HEAD! Jer

Try Big M Auto salvage in Williams, Ca. or Wildcat auto wrecking in Sandy, Or. BTW, I think Moore's is yankin' your chain, They show having two of 'um. And I wouldn't think that that T-Gate motor waz ah hot item. I'd bet they just don't wanna make the trip out into the pucker brush and get all cold 'n wet:(
