In case you want to get silly, the Mrs. The King blue station wagon has been re-released by Mattel in a two-pack with the Tex Dinoco Cadillac. I've already gotten mine from Walmart. Looks sort of like an early-70s Mercury or Chrysler.

Since this had been out of production for a couple years, they were getting a little pricey on eBay. Glad I didn't bid on one. I'd be kicking myself now.

I saw a story about the station wagon - it was modeled after the Chrysler wagon that Lynda Petty drove when they were traveling to NASCAR events in the '70's. I think she got to pick the car.

I always thought they were going for a custom Lincoln Continental wagon look. It even has a kinda Lincoln hood ornament on the front. Glad they re-issued this, it is such a cool car. I bought one when they first came out in a Mr and Mrs the King set. I, of course, immediately opened the package. I'm sure that greatly lowered the value but there was no way I was going to leave that wagon in the package.

Far and away my favorite Disney movie...for very obvious reasons. I will watch it sometimes even when the grand kids aren't there.

I have 2 of that wagon and one of them is a misbox! I loved the first movie! The second one was a donkey sneeze.

I agree. The first film is amazing, combining many of my loves, foremost classic cars and Route 66. As a stand alone flick, the second one is entertaining enough, but a bummer of a sequal if you ask me.

I have seen the "Mrs The King and Tex" two pack for sale at Wal Mart. I have considered buying it, but my oldest son is nuts about cars and the movie "Cars" and I'm affraid that the wagon would become his almost imediately.

I hope the "Planes" Movie is good. I'm a little sceptical. Like the folks at pixar are running out of ideas. We'll see.
