A fellow worker has a 1974 pinto wagon for sale and its @ 60% okay, runs and drives . My ? is what would it be worth . To the owner is worth $1743428649 but in the real world what would be a good dollar amount? The car was his mom and dads one owner ect. ect. One note it has a bullet hole in the rear left side . might be a + or -.

Depends on who you ask. That bullet hole might add value, if a gangbanger was buying, but they wouldn't want to be seen dead in a Pinto!

I think the guy has his decimal place wrong. Somewhere between $174.3428649 and $1,743.428649!!!:rofl2:

Seriously, without pics or more info, it's pretty hard to say. If the engine was one of the original 2.0 L engines, it might be worth a good buck. Some early Pintos had the racing engine version.

More info would be helpful. I've had a few Pintos over the years as winter beaters, and they have their good and bad points. If I had to drive one nowadays, I'd want: the 77-78 Cruising Wagon, 2.3, 4 speed, 8" rear. Maybe even the 6 cyl., but not the auto., it's a real slug without the stick. A 74 would not be my first choice, but if you like them, they are very good cars if they aren't rusty.
