Look at this advise on Ebay a great French Wagon for sale, certainly owned by a Wagon lover, look at all the other wagon in the background on pictures http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NO-R...rs_Trucks&hash=item1c28ccc06e#ht_14026wt_1131
Looks like that old Ford wagon didn't sell. Is it just me or do the pictures these guys take in their showroom/garage look like they were taken 30 years ago? Same deal on the Ford wagon when they had it on ebay.
That's a nice wagon....AND there are a couple of beauties in the background, too! It would be interesting to take a tour of the used car section of that dealership!
This one was a very odd duck back in its day - a 'sporty' station wagon with ground effects, side skirts, etc., and (oh boy!) a 2.2L turbo motor. Also, take a look at it - it's actually pretty huge inside. 505 Peugeot wagons had an extended wheelbase over the 505 sedans. They were narrow, but loooooong.
These were also 'rusty buckets'. I remember seeing a 505 wagon in the show room and suggesting to the salesman that just maybe they might want to move the white wagon into the body shop and not have it on display. Brown showing through white paint on a car with 10 kms on the clock is not confidence inspiring!
This wag looks pretty good from the pics. Bet parts are expensive for these though, maybe tough to find as well? Was that console light on the flexible arm a factory installed doo dad?
Had a friend in Victoria, BC with one of these. He drove it across Canada many times, hauled a small sail boat behind it from time to time which meant it got wet going in to the ocean when dropping the boat in. He took very good care of it, washed the undercarriage and body any time he'd been around the ocean which was often, and that car lasted him well over 10 years. That is my only experience with them and based on that I've always had this thought that they were not bad cars.
It was from the Miami Vice era.... I remember them when new, but don't remember all the ground effects just plain janers. I didn't look twice at them back then but now I have to say, I like the looks of it.
