Just found this site tonight while searching the net for wagons. I've always had a thing for wagons, don't know why. I was formerly an auto body tech for about 11 years and can assist with any questions. A guy I worked with always had 50's/60's wagons and I fell in love with them. People make fun of me for liking them especially my wife. Anyways, just a quick intro and looking forward to using the site.
OfftheWagon! I know what you mean. My other-half, nor any of my friends/co-workers understand my affinity for wagons. When I had my '75 CE, one friend (upon seeing it for the first time and who was too young to remember them) said to me, "What the hell are you driving?" when I picked him up at the airport one day lol. Anyway, welcome aboard and thanks for joining us.
Welcome OfftheWagon! It seems I am lucky to have a wife who loved my station wagon the day we drove it home in ungodly cold weather and snow up to the rockers. That wasn't here in Florida. That was back in Illinois. Others call it an ambulance, a taxi, and other things. But we've found many do like station wagons. You're in the right place now.
I can relate to the "being made fun of because you love wagons" I was given a lot of grief in High School because I drove a wagon. Of course everyone gained respect over time since I could haul most of the baseball team and still beat the pants off of my buddy who had a 68 Mustang in a head to head race. Welcome to the wagon train.
