I hate to post with no pic's(tomorrow I swear!) but I'm back in the wagon fold!I just bought a 68 ltd country squire. The cool thing is its a "Q" code Cobra jet 428,all rebuilt a few thousand miles ago.Its loaded out, power windows, locks, gate, steering and brakes.Pic's tomorrow,I promise..really...Dave
Hey Dave, you don't have to own one to be here, but sounds like you've got a mean machine comin' at ya.
I will check back tomorrow for these pics of which you speak. Sounds like one helluva car you got. Can't wait to see it!
Ok...Original gold car,the p/o shot it in blue primer to keep it from surface rusting.Hidden headlights she's highly optioned.
Next...rear jump seats, nine pass....dash,buckets and a console. Now the money shot...Its an original "Q" code 428,built to super cobra jet spec. Its a tow package car so its got a HUGE gear, but its still pretty quick for a 4050 lb car..Enjoy! Dave
Just saw this today, Rambler. A special-ordered wagon very much like yours, only a year older and with a 4-speed instead of your automatic.... 1967 428 4-SPEED COUNTRY SQUIRE A 428 Q-code Country Squire might not sound that rare, but how about one with a 4-speed toploader and buckets and console!? This is Adrian Clement's extremely rare '67 Country Squire wagon, one of one produced. This combination was not available, unless of course you wrote a letter to Iacocca requesting the order, which is exactly what the original owner did. Iacocca obliged, and the order was processed. Never say never when it comes to Fords! Check out more shots at Adrian's motorcitygalaxieclub.com website. TRUE or FALSE??....TRUE! DANG! That is awesome! Is that Blue tint in the rear winders? And of course the magic words: "Cobra Jet" It's the stuff of dreams. Congrats man.
