Hi, I am donmac. My interest in station wagons stems from my other interest, astronomy. I acquired a rather large telescope, and needed better transport. I bought my first Caprice,an 85 battle wagon, closer to a beater than anything else.Next was a much nicer 89 Cap. But always wanted the curves, so moved up to my first 93 Cap, nice but some blemishes. Then came my first U.S. 93 Caprice. A real beauty from Mass. I put all new suspension, exhaust, electrical, etc all genuine GM parts! Photos of the car are in my gallery. This car was totalled when I was hit by a novice driver (2days) who panicked and stepped on the gas instead of brake and got all of the left side, and I mean all, front bumper to rear bumper, bent doorframe. I was seriously upset for months. But now I have my new 91 Cap in really nice shape. Won't say mint, but fairly close with some minor effort. Closest thing to a barn find you can get in the city! Sorry for droning on. Anyway I am a 58 yr old Canadian from Mtl Qc.and that's my introduction. Thanks to all. Peace
Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home! You'll fit right in around here! That's too bad you lost your first Whale, as they are known. Here's hoping you have much better luck with this one! Please, join in the discussions. You're bound to make lots of friends around here, too.
Welcome to the SWF, Donmac! Good to have you here. I'm not into astronomy, but I have a B-I-L who is. Went out with him one night to a local star-gazing at a community college he helps out at. Quite interesting...... Marshall
to the group. Hope you don't meet anymore new drivers. Most Canadians do pretty well after 20-30 years.
welcome - i'm sure alot of us can attest to being scared big time in having our wagons smucked by newbies .
Welcome aboard! Interesting introduction - happy to hear a nice wagon is back in your life. What's the plans for the wagon?
I've seen more stars in the past year since we got our pup(Skipper) then I have in a very long time. Very pretty wagon. aboard from a fellow Canadian.
