No Norm. The LTD II is on the older Torino/Montego platform. A strait 85 LTD is on the Fox platform. The LTD II is a much bigger car but still not full size. There's a lot of confusion with this and I'm not so sure that Ford did not intend to create the confusion. It's about this time that the full size LTD got renamed the Crown Victoria.

Of course though Ford Canada added confusion. This may be why you are thinking different than me on this issue and yet may still be correct for Canada. I think I've read that Ford Canada did produce a Fox LTD II. Is this correct?

Andy and I have to get close to that supposed LTD II wagon we saw in the 'Recycled District' (east side of town). There was another Farimont Wagon there too, on the other side of the fence. It sure looks like yours, the LTD ????? . If it is a Cougar Wagon? The guy wanted $1,300 or $1,250 for it last summer.

Again more confusion. That tan colored wagon I posted is a 1983 Granada. It sure looks like my Cougar. I think Ford had mental problems in the 80's. This list is that of names of Fox cars that look just like ours except for front facias:

Fairmont/Zephyr/Cougar/Granada/LTD/Marquis/Thunderbird. The Fox Tbird was the only one that remained as only a two door coupe.

Could be, they were getting extra fumes after the 70's Oil Crisis. Thanks for pointers.

We'll go take pics soon. Andy need fenders and we know where there's a few Fox Bumpers... :D

All US info. You may know about Canadian models. If Andy finds a Cougar or Granada he could get the whole front clip and go with stainless bumpers.

Lots you can do with a fox-body wagon. Always thought it would be neet to merge the Mustang front clip (the one in the photos shown) with the Fairmont / LTD body. Would probably have to switch the inner fender aprons, and probably massage the body work on the fenders to match the lines on the doors. LTD front end already looks a bit similar, so the overall effort may not be worth it.

Has anyone noticed the distinct similarity between the Fox-body wagons ('78 up) to the Chry-co Aspen-Volare, etc wagons ('76 up )? Coincidence?
