    Wow, she's beautiful! 4500 lbs? About 18 ft long! Looks like it might be highly optioned too. Like those 66 CS!

    lets see...how to shorten this story?

    about a year and a half ago...this charming lil Italian guy named Vito came into my store.
    He told me of his 66 Country Squire that was his Dads since new...Dad had since past...and his Mom cried evrytime she saw it fom the window.
    She wanted it gone.

    But..he wanted 6900 bux for it..and as you guys know...im so tight ..i squeak when i walk...:evilsmile:

    I never even went to see it.

    He would phone every once and a while...we'd chat.

    Then last week...i came across his number and said to the gal..."i wonder if he still has it?"

    It was still there...he sounded more intent now than before.."come and get it he says...bring money"...:biglaugh:

    k...this adventure lasted 3 days ...so the story aint short:evilsmile:

    his 91 year old Mom comes out...sees mine and starts cooing and crying saying how nice it would look beside mine...and how pleased Pappy would be if someone who loved it bought it...then turns around and says...
    ..."give my Vito $$$$ and its yours to love".....:49:

    well her $$$$ was waaaay les than his...as he smacks his forehead and says...'there ya go'.......

    well...the girlfriend says...'buy it or i will !!"

    so....we went halfers on a baby !!!

    the story's way longer and very entertaining...and I talian accents are hard to do in print..:biglaugh:...so it would lose something along the way;)

    Point is...after his Dad passing 16 years ago...and the car hadnt been lisenced since 1986 !!!!! ..still has the 'EXPO86' plates on it !!!(y)

    the whole thing turned into a gong show....3 days and 3 quarts of tranny fluid...a power steering hose...4 quarts of steering fluid...she finally docked in my driveway at 12;30am Friday night...which started at 5;30pm !! OY VEY as they say:biglaugh:

    so....she has 132,000 original miles on her....still has the 'bias plys' on her feet...(that was fun at about 40 MPH !!!....bias that hadnt been driven in 15 years)....it was like driving a giant dildo !!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

    Still has the plastic on the seats !!...all the original purhase orders,and build sheets...just TONS of cool crap !!!!

    Me and the gal spent all Saturday spittin n polishin...she went to her 1st car show on Sunday !! Then to my clubs show on Monday !!
    (I even let the gal drive it there);)
    she was the bell of the ball !!!...the gal and the car !!

    Im giddy...so is she...I may have created a monster...I caught her looking on EGAY !...."dont we need these???"....:biglaugh:

    Gaawwwd Dam, she's beautiful Rev! What a drag they (work) don't let me out to play anymore, I'd love to see it up close and all the others.

    PS... for those that don't know, A few years before I became a member I would day trip to the mainland for work and I would drive by this certain house alot and snap my neck drooling at old wagons. Then I cyber meet the Rev and put 2+2 together....since then I've never done a work trip:cry:
