Yesterday I visited a Hot Rod meeting / festival in Bottrop Germany: besides all the rods there were some Wagons as well:
There seems to be more American wagons at European shows than there are at the local shows I go to! I sent the link to my friend who is studying in Germany as he probably would get a kick out of seeing an A/G body car, as he owned several Malibus from the early 80s.
ya know though as a general rule of thumb i,ve seen more wagons at rat rod kustom kuture or what ever they call it shows than other shows,,,,generally speaking,,,which is kool by all means i,ve just found it rather different but kool nonetheless
Several Wagons were used as a hauler for the hot rods; for most of them it is illegal to use the roads here. For more photos of this meeting visit: http://kustom-gear.magix.net/ (click "Bottrop Kustom Kulture")
THanx for the pics 75 Hey 75...when you have some time...would you mind explaining why some of the N.american cars are illegal ? My curiousity is killin me
Was talking about the hot rods ofcourse; it is like getting a title for a car : the DMV equivalent here ("RDW") will not give a title to a non-factory car unless it will meet the national standards. One of the standards is at least having a hood and fenders (and 1001 orso other rules): Exacly what hot rod builders dislike. So most of the hot rods are trailered to a meeting, so they can drive on a "closed road" there.
