ohhh yeah if i hit the powerball! well, lemmie see... 1. id pull the lt1 and replace it with an ls2 w/6speed manual. 2. paint it a soft blue like chrysler atlantic blue or ford medium wedgewood 3. torq thrusts no bigger than 17" or baby moons 4. get the seats reuplostered in high grade leather. 5. lower her 1" 6. can you say "real wood" and more of it. 7. custom tuned sound system. (no not bumping bass...i want clarity and fullness) 8. buy a beater so i could keep her off the road in foul weather. 9. ohhh yeah lets not forget...... a surfboard for the roof at carshows and on vacation surfing!
I'd turn my parts car into a race-only vehicle. Tubbed, stripped out, roll cage yadayada... Something like the one in this thread: http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123955&highlight=fairmont&page=3
I'd do this but instead of a V6 I'd opt for a Mustang 5.0 and 5 speed, discs all around and a professional paint and interior. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4397
Yep.. I'd gut it, TUB it.. huge motor with a big 'ole blower sticking out of the hood.. can anyone say 9 second wagon?
There's some things I would like to do to the Focus - Rear disc brakes, sportier suspension, maybe a little intake and exhaust work, 17" wheels instead of the 16's, but what I REALLY want to do is get an older, larger wagon. Not sure what kind yet, but one day........(at least the mizzuz says I can).
have you tried steeda motor sports? everything on my focus was steeda they have a great exhaust that isnt very loud (not that i would think you want loud ) but will wake up that ztec. also cold air induction and underdrive pulleys
Like the thread says, that is what I would do to it, with an unlimited budget. There's the rub........... And yeah, Steeda is probably who I would have contacted first.
