When I got my 65 country squire back in 2000 I could get NOS and used parts off ebay basicly for what I wanted to pay but not now, tail light lenses are now going for over 50 dollars and NOS tail light buckets are going for around 100 where I got them for around 10 each. Shortly after buying the wagon I got a 65 custom 500 and picked up a pair of NOS emblems for 10 each and now seen one with a buy it now price of over 200,now that the wagon has been sold I think its time to get out all the NOS parts I collected for it that I did not let go with it and get some needed money for my 55 sunliner.

Go for it. You made good purchases, so why not reap the profits?

The fact that someone is ASKING $200 for a item is no proof of what someone will actually pay. People look at ebay asking prices and think that determines value. Unless cash changes hands, the number is meaningless.

Should have bought more parts when they were cheap.:D
Supply and demand, nobody wanted those parts back then, they do now.

Supply is dwindling and demand is stagnant or growing, depending on the model. Regarding station wagons in particular, I think demand is growing as the popularity of wagons has been gaining attention in recent years.

Agree. I watch a lot of items on eBay at 'crazy' prices, and they just get relisted repeatedly when no one buys them.

Being newish to old cars, I don't have the historical reference for price increases, but damn, some people are asking and sometimes getting those crazy prices.

And wagon parts are at a premium, that's for sure, if you can find them.

You think wagon prices are crazy, own a Ranchero, El Camino or Sprint/Caballero. Those are really crazy.

I actually have an extra gas tank for the Fanny. It came (as a bonus) when we bought the quarter panels from Texas, still had gar in it. A while back someone wanted to buy it but I think we'll hang onto it until we no longer have the car.

I am going to sell the parts but as my luck goes a 65 ranch wagon will show up needing what I sold but my 55 sunliner takes top priority and needs some parts.
